Ugh...if it wasn't for the fact that today is my vocal class Christmas concert, I would so not be dragging myself to class today. I feel sore and tired, and I am grumpy about this.
My main consolation today is that I don't have to go anywhere after class, so if I'm so inclined, I can go to bed right after dinner. I probably will do that. I'll function better at work tomorrow if I've had a long sleep.
At work, I wish we had something announcing which products were on back order right on the main line before people can select a product to get service for. We'd cut down at least 20% of our calls right now just by saying "If you are calling to inquire about where your order for ____, ____, ______, or ____ is, those products are currently on backorder and expected to ship at the end of this month. Your card will not be charged until they have left the shipping warehouse."
@_@ Well, I've been up for nearly 24 hours straight now thanks to my very, very early morning.
Technically, I woke up around 5am. Which is 12:00am in Eastern Standard Time.
When I actually woke up was 4:30am/11:30pm because a dream freaked the hell out of me. It's the sort of thing you might see in a murder-mystery book, or an episode of Dexter, just to give you an idea of what the dream was like. I wrote it down in case I ever want to write it. There was a big psychological angle to it including a massively creepy serial killer and a traumatized survivor. Needless to say, I was wide awake this morning because wow, you do not get comfortably back to sleep after a dream like that. Or at least not very easily.
This flight was better than the flight to Ireland in all ways but one - this plane didn't have the individual movie screens, nor did it have an in-flight movie. So it got a bit boring. What was nice was that it wasn't at a horrible hour (no overnight flight, yay!), and the layover from Amsterdam to Canada wasn't so bad. There were no direct flights from Toronto to Dublin and vice versa for some reason, so we had to go to Amsterdam.
I highly recommend KLM as an airline. The seats have more leg room than some airlines, they feed you at no extra cost, and the food doesn't suck. And if you're fortunate enough to get a plane with the individual screens, you have a selection of movies, TV episodes, music and games to entertain yourself with.
To people I RP with: I will probably be back from hiatus on maybe....Friday. I'm exhausted and need to get adjusted to being back in EST.
I know you want to go to the gym. But you know you're already feeling exhausted at 2 in the afternoon and you have to both go to class tomorrow and Thursday as well as work on those days. You can't afford to burn yourself out.
Just keep working on that list of little things that need to be taken care of but that won't require expending more energy than you can afford to expend. You're doing well so far. Maybe the tai chi DVD you have would be a good alternative to pushing yourself at the gym. It's still physical activity.
Love,
The side of you that has common sense and knows your limits when you're feeling crappy
Worked out today. I'd really like to know what the hell is making me so prone to exhaustion. I had plenty of sleep last night. I shouldn't feel exhausted at 7:30pm. X_X Tomorrow's going to be very much not fun since I'll be working the whole day. But money is good. So is mandarin orange green tea - when you need a temporary boost, at least. Maybe I'll bring some green tea to work and see about waking myself up there.
I'm proud to say I haven't fainted in three weeks now. :D I love when I have a good long non-fainting streak.
XD I'd love to win a million dollars, or failing that, have an easy part time job fall right into my lap, but looking at things realistically, they're going fairly well lately.
