It's amazing what an obligation-free day can do for my mood sometimes. I've been experimenting a bit with watercolor pencils while listening to music and it is so nice to be doing that without disruptions or without having to worry about getting ready for bed so I can attempt to be well rested for work tomorrow, or getting back to an assignment.

Artist-me really wanted to come out and play, apparently. ^^

All in all, I think I prefer working with watercolor paint over watercolor pencil, although both have their merits. It produces a cleaner image just laying down the paint with the paintbrush rather than having to apply water to the water color pencil on the watercolor paper, but the watercolor pencils are cleaner overall. I'll probably prefer watercolor pencils to watercolor paint once I get used to using them.
