Even though we are only five eps into the season, I feel it is time for a Salty update. If you are a BSG fan and are still wondering who Salty is, check out Salty Watch #1, #2, and #3! If you are not a BSG fan and are wondering who Salty is... just go watch BSG. Then check back here when you're done.
There are spoilers for all five eps of season 4 in this post!

Okay I'm cutting it short again, but these things always take me longer than I plan. If you are wondering who Salty is, check out Salty Watch #1 and #2! And if you're still confused, you probably just haven't watched BSG yet, so this will just confuse you even more. Go rent the DVDs instead. Now, for part 3: Season 3.5! Spoilers if you haven't seen the finale!
( oh salty, where are you nowCollapse )

The Ballad of Chief and Helo |

The project that lemontart and I have been working on for a couple months now is finally done!! It was her genius idea. As Lew explained, it is a study in gangsta love and romantic deception. It's set to Same Girl by R Kelly and Usher, starring the Chief and Helo from Battlestar Galactica.
If you want the hi-res wmv version, I've upped it here. Otherwise the youtube version is under the cut!
( there she is with some boy shorts onCollapse )

aft damage control?! |

This is the kind of thing that balcarin, lemontart, and I talk about while watching BSG (which probably happens too often), and I figured that BSG definitely needs some levity so... here's a crazy post. There's spoilers up to Collaborators, but nothing from Torn.

calixa and I have been watching old school Dr Who episodes, the best being the Tom Baker and his Giant Scarf adventures. Especially the ones with boob-killing mummies. Anyway, I downloaded a "reconstructed" episode, which means they somehow lost the episode (I don't know how they managed this. Did someone leave it in their other pants?) so they patched an episode together from a bunch of other episodes. This one's called THE TENTH PLANET. It takes place in 1986 (THE FUTURE!!) and centres around a NASA bunker in the south pole that's communicating with two astronauts in a rocket that are orbiting Mars. But instead of Mars, they find another planet! Between Mars and Venus! That looks exactly like Earth! IT IS THE HOME OF THE CYBERMEN!
God, I love the cybermen. Okay so, the TARDIS drops in on the south pole, and the military guys bring them down into the bunker, because when a mysterious alien police box lands in the middle of nowhere in a blizzard, the first thing you do is bring the hot girl on it down into your bunker. Also, they spend the first 5 minutes of the episode expositioning that 1) IT'S REALLY WINDY and 2) THERE ARE SOME DUDES IN A ROCKET. The commander dude of the bunker is suspicious of the doctor, and sends some guys to go break into the TARDIS. I HAVE CAPS AND COMMENTARY UNDER THE CUT.
( It's just space fatigue!Collapse )
I LOVE THIS SHOW.

Okay, so those of you who like it when I do crazy batshit things like... that insane Rabbit Hole day thing, then please click this link. The rest of you can just go on with your day, and we'll pretend that I never pasted Ginny's head onto Belle's, or Harry's head onto the beast's.
I mean, no. No. I would never do that. That's just stupid. Who would do something like that?
Right.
So...
Right.

Yo.
I've decided to move all my mood theme stuff over to another lj, that way I don't have to spam you guys anymore, yay. So now all my mood themes will be posted at crackified. If you do want to see the themes, then just friend that lj. Since summer's coming up, I'm going to have even more time to do absolutely nothing, so I'll probably be making a lot of themes in the next few months.
I've also changed the instructions thing that's in every zip, just fyi to anyone who's downloaded any of the themes.

Harry Potter - OBHWF (Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione) |

Okay, I basically took my Ron/Hermione theme, and my Harry/Ginny one, and smushed them together. It is both devious and lazy.
And because someone's destined to ask: OBHWF is "One Big Happy Weasley Family". It's the theory/ideal that Harry's going to marry Ginny, Hermione's going to marry Ron, etc etc, until pretty much everyone's a Weasley and the world is populated with tiny little red-haired babies. Aww.
