Zemfira is a Russian rock singer, songwriter, musician, and composer. She gained fame in 1998, and has since become popular in Russia, Ukraine, and other post-Soviet countries.

Zemfira was born in the working class neighborhood of Chernikovka, in the city Ufa. Her family lived there, on Admiral Ushakova Street, until the end of the 1990s. She is the daughter of Talgat Talkhoyovich Ramazanov, a history teacher, and Florida Khakimivna, a doctor, who specializes in physical therapy. Zemfira is of Tatar origin.
