If Noel is a common name in Haiti, then maybe his father is Haitian?
I read your posts below incorrectly; didn’t even see he was listed as Panamanian there and on the profile. And that’s always because I’d always heard he was Haitian American. So I guess his father must be Haitian and his mother is (Afro)-Panamanian.

Are you saying his father is not? “Noel” is a fairly common name in Haiti. Did he take his mother’s surname?
