Yasmine’s great-grandmother Edith was born in Russia, the daughter of Samuel Deutz and Deborah Budoff.

Also: on Ancestry, I checked her maiden surname again. Carine’s maiden surname was Sellam not Sellan, which is a surname of Arabic origin and is also found in North Africa.
So I would assume that Yasmine’s maternal ancestry is French, Algerian (through the Sellam line) and Italian (through the Padovani line).
In a tweet, she described herself as Arab. I found the name Padouani in Algeria, Tunisia, and France. I thought it could be Sephardi or something. I found Sellan in France and Italy.

It is Sellam, not Sellan on Ancestry her mother’s full maiden name is Carina Antoinette Sellam, which is a MENA/Sephardic Jewish surname.
I’m inclined to believe it’s Sephardic, who hold names of Arabic origin.

As for Lola, yes, I think she might be, since “Lombroso” seems to be a Sephardic Jewish surname rather than an Italian one. I also looked up “Bessis,” and it seems to be Sephardic too. I don’t think it’s a typical French surname

I was looking through her family tree and the surnames, and I would’ve never guessed Piperno had Sephardic connections. At first, I just thought it was an Italian surname, but apparently it’s actually really strongly associated with Sephardic Jewish families
Regarding Emma Corrin, she may also have Ashkenazi ancestry through her ancestor Francis Potash, who came from Oradea, a historically Jewish area of Eastern Europe.
