Eric Stonestreet is an American actor and comedian. He is known for his role on the show Modern Family<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Eric is the son of Jamey Ann and Vince Stonestreet.<\/p>\n

Eric’s paternal grandfather was Leonard Anthony Stonestreet (the son of Johann\/John Heinrich Steingassner\/Stonestreet and Gertrude Victoria Mueller\/Miller). Johann was born in Unterstinkenbrunn, Nieder\u00f6sterreich, Austria, the son of Anton\/Anthony Steingassner and Theresia Dietmeyer. The name was changed to Stonestreet in the 1910s, during World War I. Stein means “stone” and gassner means “alley” in German. Gertrude was of German descent, the daughter of Godfried Paul Mueller, who was born in Oestinghausen, Westphalia, Prussia, and of Genevieve Stohl.<\/p>\n

Eric’s paternal grandmother was Louise Elizabeth Kraft (the daughter of William Kraft and Mary Knecht). Louise was born in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas. William was the son of Luxembourgish parents, Matthias Kraft, from Heinsch, and Louisa Tock, from Stockem. Mary was the daughter of Austrian parents, Augustin\/August Knecht, a dairy farmer, who was born in Lech, in the Alps, and Gertrude.<\/p>\n

Eric’s maternal grandfather was James Glenn Ball (the son of William Glenn Ball and Isabelle “Belle” Gresty). James was born in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas. William was the son of James Edward Ball and Mary Jane Miller. Isabelle was the daughter of English parents, James Gresty, from Manchester, and Mary Jane Caruthers.<\/p>\n

Eric’s maternal grandmother was Helen Laura Heath (the daughter of William Henry Heath and Lillie Marie Kiekert\/Keikert). Helen was born in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas. Lillie was the daughter of German parents, Wilhelm Frederick\/Fredrick “William” Kiekert\/Keikert and Dorothea “Anna” Huth, who was born in Mittelsinn, Lohr a. Main, Bayern.<\/p>\n
