Ana is the daughter of Jos\u00e9 Augusto Navarro Flores and Violeta Flores L\u00f3pez. Her mother was born in Le\u00f3n, Nicaragua. Ana’s mother was adopted by don Daniel Flores Baca and do\u00f1a Margarita L\u00f3pez D’Arbelles. Don Daniel was murdered when Ana’s mother was 20, in 1960, in a crime that is still unsolved.<\/p>\n

Ana is married to lawyer, politician, conservative activist, and Republican Party figure Al C\u00e1rdenas. Al was born in Cuba, and was Chair of the Florida Republican Party, from 1999 to 2003, and Chairman of the American Conservative Union, from 2011 to 2014.<\/p>\n

Ana’s patrilineal line traces to Pantale\u00f3n Pacheco Navarro, who was born, c. 1780, in Cartago, Costa Rica, the son of Miguel Geronimo Pacheco and Maria Bartola Navarro Guerrero. Miguel was born into slavery in Cartaga, c. 1758. He was of mixed race, part African, ancestry.<\/p>\n

Ana’s paternal grandfather was Augusto Navarro Callejas (the son of \u00c1ngel Navarro y Navarro and Mar\u00eda de Jes\u00fas Callejas Sans\u00f3n). \u00c1ngel was the son of Pantale\u00f3n Navarro de C\u00e1diz and Mar\u00eda Salom\u00e9 Navarro y Reyes-Garz\u00f3n. Ana’s great-grandmother Mar\u00eda de Jes\u00fas was the daughter of Juan Andr\u00e9s Callejas Soto and Mar\u00eda Gertrudis Sans\u00f3n Parrales.<\/p>\n

Ana’s paternal grandmother was Zoila Flores Baca (the daughter of Daniel Flores Lacayo and Mar\u00eda del Rosario Baca Icaza).<\/p>\n

Ana’s biological maternal grandfather was Arturo Baca Mu\u00f1oz (the son of Rafael Arturo Baca Icaza and Melida Mu\u00f1oz). Ana’s grandfather Arturo was born in Le\u00f3n, Nicaragua. Rafael was the son of Alejandro De Jes\u00fas Baca Icaza and Mar\u00eda Isabel de Jes\u00fas Icaza Enr\u00edquez.<\/p>\n
