Victor Mature was mainly of Arab origins. I’m surprised no one has figured that out, yet, but it’s not surprising he concealed his true origins. He had a obvious nose job but his ethnicity can clearly be seen in his bulging black eyes and the shape of his thick lips, particularly his upturned top one.
The very heavy lids are a sign, as is the strange way his lips crooked:

He used a ton of brilliantine yet the studios couldn’t keep his hair in check.
*His father, Marcello Gelindo Maturi, was an emigrant from Pinzolo, Trentino Alto-Adige, Italy (then in Austria-Hungary)
According to some sources, his parents married in Germany, where Victor’s father moved before heading to U.S.
Ethnic, is there a picture, please?
no sorry
Neither Germans nor true Italians looked like him. I posted his true origins.
I always thought he was so handsome and hunky.
I always thought he was so hideous, he ruined every movie. His face is so harsh and his features don’t fit the screen, I spend my time distracted by his hard to figure out features, and how he possibly have ended up in Hollywood, it baffles the mind. He’s kissing Rita Hayworth now and it’s disgusting. Poor girl!
His nose job wasn’t that great and left him with a nose that was strangely too narrow for is face, too pointy and pointing down, and its bridge was still crooked. He had a face to play villains, a very difficult face, difficult to look at, it hurts my mind! Makes one wonder who he boffed to get cast. Subpar man, subpar looks, subpar “talent” not sure what anyone saw in him, with so many better looking men back then.
