Tara Strong is a Canadian and American actress. She is one of the most prominent voice over actresses of the early 21st century.
Tara is the daughter of Lucy and Syd Charendoff. She has two children with her former husband, American actor and real estate agent Craig Strong. She lives in Los Angeles, and has dual citizenship.
Tara’s paternal grandfather was Jacob “Jack” Charendoff (the son of Josef/Joseph Charendoff and Toby/Toba/Tillie Neiman/Newman). Jack was born in Toronto, Ontario, to parents from Russia.
Tara’s paternal grandmother was Ida Gryfe (the daughter of Samuel/Sam/Shlomo Gryfe and Molly/Malka Monblat/Mohnblatt/Moonblood). Ida was born in Hamilton, Wentworth, or Toronto, Ontario, to parents from Romania. Samuel was the son of Yehoshua Gryfe. Tara’s great-grandmother Molly was the daughter of Ze’Ev/Wolf Mohnblatt.
Tara’s maternal grandfather was Cantor Samuel/Sholom Weinstein (the son of Binyumin Weinstein and Yote Marantz). Samuel was born in Bessarabia, and came to Canada in 1930.
Tara’s maternal grandmother was Lottie “Laura” Levine (the daughter of Pinkas Levine and Tamars Ginzberg). Lottie was born in Moscow, Russia.
