T. J. Rumfield is an American professional baseball player. A first baseman, he plays for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB).

T. J. is the son of Karolee and Toby Rumfield, who has been a Minor League baseball player, and high school coach.

T. J.’s paternal grandfather was Shelby Howard Rumfield (the son of Shelby Howard Rumfield and Leta Ernestine Lyda). T. J.’s great-grandfather Shelby was born in Texas, the son of Samuel Marion Rumfield and Agnes Maggie McCarthy. T. J.’s great-grandmother Leta was born in Louisiana, the daughter of Gedeion Paloris Lyda and Minnie Magdeline White.
