Shu Qi is a Taiwanese actress and filmmaker. She is recognized as one of Asia’s most celebrated screen performers, having served on the main competition jury at the Berlinale, Cannes, and Venice Film Festivals. She first gained recognition in Viva Erotica (1996), and has since collaborated with director Hou Hsiao-hsien on Millennium Mambo (2001), Three Times (2005), and The Assassin (2015). She also reached Western audiences through the French action film The Transporter (2002), her first foray into the American market. Her accolades include four Hong Kong Film Awards, two Golden Horse Awards, and an Asian Film Award.
