Randolph Mantooth was an American actor. He starred as Firefighter/Paramedic John Gage on the shows Emergency! and Emergency +4. His roles also included the shows The Bold Ones: The Senator, McCloud, Sarge, Marcus Welby, M.D., Adam-12, Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law, Operation Petticoat, Detective School, Vega$, The Fall Guy, Loving, The City, General Hospital, As the World Turns, One Life to Live, and Sons of Anarchy; the films Agent Red, He Was a Quiet Man, and Scream of the Bikini; and the made-for-tv movies The Seekers (1979), Terror at London Bridge/Bridge Across Time, and Fire Serpent.

Randolph was the son of Sadie and Buck Mantooth. His father was of British Isles, and some German, descent, and possibly also had about 1/64th Cherokee Native American ancestry. His mother was of three quarters German and one quarter British Isles/English descent. He was the brother of Tonya Mantooth, artistic director of the San Diego International Film Festival; and actor Donald Mantooth.

Randolph was married to Kristen Connors, until his death.

Randolph’s fourth great-grandfather, Thomas “Cherokee Tom” Mantooth, was said to have been of half Cherokee Native American descent. It was said that he was the son of John Monteith, who was of Scottish and English descent; and of Mildred Al Lin Nih “Alinem,” a Cherokee Native American, and that John changed his surname to Mantooth when marrying Mildred. Randolph’s paternal grandfather was John Crittendon Mantooth (the son of Stephen Claborn M. Mantooth and Theodocia/Eudochia Elisabeth “Dosha” Lingenfelter). John was born in Tennessee. Stephen was the son of Dan Mantooth and Harriet Mantooth. Theodocia was the daughter of John Lingenfelter and Elizabeth.

Randolph’s paternal grandmother was named Mattie Lou/Lula/Lulu Christian (the daughter of a father surnamed Christian and Mary E.). Mattie was born in Texas.

Randolph’s maternal grandfather was Ernest/Ernst August Neddenriep/Neddenreip (the son of Diedrich Heinrich Neddenreip and Hilkelina Mathilde Klumker). Ernest was born in Nebraska, to German parents. Diedrich was the son of Christof Christian Neddenreip and Ylse Maria Oehlerich. Hilkelina was the daughter of Martin Klumker and Hilkelina Fehntjer Ries.

Randolph’s maternal grandmother was Lovey Isabelle Peters (the son of George Peters and Sarah Isabelle Goodman). Lovey was born in Oklahoma. George was the son of German parents, John Peters and Ann. Sarah was the daughter of James Lindsey Goodman and Mary Jane Buster.
