Phil Esposito is a Canadian professional ice hockey player, coach, and executive. A centre, he played for the Chicago Black Hawks, the Boston Bruins, and the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL), and for the Canada national team. He is a broadcaster for the Tampa Bay Lightening.

Phil is the son of Frances and Pasquale Esposito. His brother, Tony Esposito, is also a Hall of Fame professional ice hockey player. His maternal grandparents were born in Abruzzo, Italy.

Phil’s paternal grandfather was named Felice Anthony Esposito.
