Oliver Tree was an American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and filmmaker. He released four albums, including the tracks “Life Goes On,” “Miss You,” and “Ultraman.” He appeared in the film Paradise Records. He was given the Guinness World Record for “Largest Kick Scooter” in 2020.

Oliver was the son of Christine and Jesse Louis Nickell III, a real estate contractor. His parents are said to have also been traveling circus performers.

Oliver’s paternal grandfather was Jesse Louis Nickell, Jr. (the son of Jesse/Jessie Louis Nickell and Sibyl Lena Potter). Oliver’s grandfather Jesse was born in Erick, Beckham, Oklahoma. Oliver’s great-grandfather Jesse was born in Stonewall, Pontotoc, Oklahoma, the son of John George Nickell and Georgia Ann Young, whose parents were of half Potawatomi Native American descent, and whose grandfather was an Irish immigrant. Oliver’s great-grandmother Sibyl was born in Jester, Greer, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charlie Calvin Potter and Frances Mariah Moss.

Oliver’s paternal grandmother is the daughter of Herbert Ashley Dutcher and Cora May Pittman. She was born in Kansas. Herbert was born in Atchison, Kansas, the son of George H. Dutcher and Bertha May Shadbolt, and had deep roots in Colonial New York. Oliver’s great-grandmother Cora was born in Missouri, the daughter of John Milton Pittman and Mary Elizabeth Moffett, whose maternal grandparents were from Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Oliver’s maternal grandfather was Daniel Francis Begin (the son of Jacob Joseph Begin and Theresa Marie Soucy). Daniel was born in Danvers, Essex, Massachusetts, of French-Canadian ancestry. Jacob was born in Marblehead, Essex, to Canadian parents, Phillip J. Begin, who was from Sainte-Julie, Lajemmerais, Québec; and Adelphine Fournier, who was born in Stamford, Welland, Ontario, to parents from Québec. Oliver’s great-grandmother Theresa was born in Danvers, the daughter of Alphonse Soucy and Alvine Berube, who were from Kamouraska, Québec.

Oliver’s maternal grandmother is the daughter of Frank Michael Sowinski and Sophie V. Zalewski. She was born in Pennsylvania. Frank was born in Dickson City, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, the son of Polish parents, Joseph Andrew Sowinski and Marianna Bryniarski, who were from Neumarkt, Nowy Targ, Galicia. Oliver’s great-grandmother Sophie was born in Dickson City, the daughter of Polish parents, Frank Zalewski, who was from Nowe Miasto, Lubawskie; and Maryanna Pawlowska.

Oliver was a fourth cousin, once removed, of television personality and model LuAnn de Lesseps. Oliver’s maternal great-great-great-great-grandparents, Firmin Soucy and Marie Felicite Lagasse, were also LuAnn’s maternal great-great-great-grandparents.
