(…) In 1969, though, Valerie found she was pregnant by her boyfriend in South London. On May 22, 1970, Naomi Elaine Campbell was born to Valerie Joanne Morris, dancer. There’s no mention of the father on the birth certificate. As for the child’s surname, Valerie would later explain that Alan Campbell had given Naomi his name.
In Jamaica, where Valerie comes from, the name Campbell is as common as Jones is in Wales. By coincidence it is also Valerie’s mother’s maiden name. So untangling Naomi’s origins isn’t easy. Naomi’s maternal grandfather, George Morris, and her grandmother, Ruby Campbell, left Jamaica for Britain in 1957, with their two children, June and Valerie. Ruby used her own name and it seems unlikely they were married. June and Valerie were registered in their father’s name. (…)”

Naomi is an enigma. If Campbell is her step-father’s name then Pearline Ming can’t be her biological grandmother. Naomi posted on insta that her grandmother Ruby Louise Campbell Russel passed away. Assuming that Ruby is her maternal grandmother, why is her surname Campbell? Is Ruby Campbell Russel her step-father’s mother? I can’t find a marriage for Naomi’s mother and Mr Campbell either, only a marriage to Clifford Blackwood in 1982.
Obviously there’s also a good amount of western/northern european admixtures. Look up what a pure blooded subSaharan tribal from some remote part of africa looks like.
