Marisa Paredes was a Spanish actress. Her roles included the films Life Goes On (1965), Dark Habits, Dear Nanny, In a Glass Cage, Turnip Top, High Heels (1991), The Anonymous Queen, Lost in Transit, The Flower of My Secret, The Ship of Fools, Three Lives and Only One Death, Deep Crimson, Life Is Beautiful, Talk of Angels, All About My Mother, No One Writes to the Colonel, The Devil’s Backbone, Savages (2001), Cold Winter Sun, Magic Mirror, Queens (2005), Mad Love (2009), The Skin I Live In, Latin Lover, Petra, and Emergency Exit. She was President of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain, from 17 December, 2000 to 9 October, 2003.

She had a daughter, actress María Isasi (María Carlota Isasi-Isasmendi Paredes), with her former partner, film director and producer Antonio Isasi-Isasmendi.
