Marcus Scribner is an American actor. His roles include the films The Good Dinosaur, Alexander IRL, The F**k-It List, Farewell Amor, Ron’s Gone Wrong, Along for the Ride, How to Blow Up a Pipeline, and Pizza Movie; and the shows Black-ish, Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Grown-ish, Dragons: The Nine Realms, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, and Boston Blue.
Marcus is the son of Troy Scribner. Marcus’ parents are pictured here. He is married to Gracie Globerman.
Marcus has stated:
Well, my mother is half-Black and my father is Black so I’m a quarter white. My grandmother is from England.
Marcus’ paternal grandfather was named Harrison O. Scribner.
Marcus’ paternal grandmother was named Kathy Reid.
Marcus’ maternal grandfather was named Simie Lavern Patterson.
Marcus’ maternal grandmother was named Agnes C. Morris.
Okay, so his maternal grandmother is supposed to be the English one. Marcus’ mother is Angela Patterson whose mother is Agnes C. Morris. Angela’s father is Simie Lavern Patterson.
Simie’s marriage to Agnes occured on June 2, 1976 in Las Vegas (registered a few days before).

Simie appears in California records, but I’m not sure if he was born there. Nor can I find any confirmation that Agnes C. Morris was born in England.
His grandparents first married in England in 1975.
Okay, so it’s:
father – African American
mother – 1/2 African American, 1/2 English
Correction:
Marcus’ paternal grandparents are/were named Harrison O. Scribner and Kathy Reid.
Marcus’ maternal grandparents are/were named Simie L. Patterson and Agnes C. Morris.
So, which grandmother is the English one? The maternal or paternal?
so is he definitely 75% black?
That’s literally impossible to quantify.
ok thanks
Or put another way, he’s 25% English Therefore he’s one quarter white. And he’s proud of his English heritage too.
