Luka Dončić is a Slovenian professional basketball player. A point guard and shooting guard, he plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was previously with Real Madrid and the Dallas Mavericks. He is nicknamed “Luka Magic.” He is 6′8″.

Luka is the son of Saša Dončić, a professional basketball player and coach, and Mirjam Poterbin, a model and beauty salon owner. His father is of Serbian descent, from Kosovo. A shooting guard and small forward, his father played for Ilirija, Postojna, Idrija, Pivovarna Laško, Loka Kava, Krka, Sloga Telekom Srbija, ALM Évreux, Slovan, Domžale, Olimpija, and Avantgard Radovljica, and has coached Avantgard Radovljica, Škofja Loka, Slovenia B, as an assistant; Ilirija, Šentjur, and Nutrisport Ilirija.

Luka has two children with his fiancée Anamaria Goltes. He speaks Slovenian, Serbian, English, and Spanish.
