Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is a Brazilian politician. He is also known simply as Lula. A member of the Workers’ Party, he has been President of Brazil, since 1 January, 2023, and, previously, from 1 January, 2003 to 31 December, 2010. He has a daughter with his former partner Miriam Cordeiro; and four children with Marisa.
His biography, A história de Lula, o filho do Brasil, 2009, states that his mother was of part Italian descent. Like most Latin-Americans, he has at least remote Sephardi Jewish ancestry, as the seven-times great-grandson of a Sephardi couple, Heitor de Barros Correia and Branca de Carvalho, who had converted to Christianity.
President da Silva’s paternal grandfather was João Inácio da Silva (the son of Antônio Inácio da Silva and Antônia Maria da Conceição).

As for Lula, according to Seneor, “he is a great-great-great-great-grandson of Captain José de Barros Correia, who, in turn, is a great-grandson of the New Christian couple Heitor de Barros Correia and Branca de Carvalho.” “She, a confessed Jew, was arrested by the Inquisition of Coimbra on September 19, 1618, and put in an auto-da-fé on March 29, 1620,” he explains.

What do you think of Gustavo Kuerten. Is he fully German?
Jesus, Brazilians and the other Hispanics are the lookalike of the Arabs above all the Brazilians but they’re much more and wrost sh!tty despite they’re Catholic Christians, they’re more muslims than them.
Ironically they refuse to be and they’re super nazi racist towards other races and they love to dream their Iberian ancestors are purely and only white and not heavily mixed to the Arabs and to them they’re even Nordic they spend their useless time telling on net the Iberians are Celtic and Germanic very pale and tall lololol even though they never been to Spain, Portugal, Germany and the other Germanic countries and to North Europe cause if they had really been there they would have seen the harsh situation and
they’d be so deeply shocked and humiliated to see they have NOTHING in common, they inherited the Iberian white& Nordic complex.
Together with the Argentinians they’re the most intolerant and disrespectful in South America, the Brazilians make the trio of the most dangerous and violent with the Mexicans and Venezuelans.
Human garbage.
Colombians not Venezuelans.
This corrupt bastard also has some distant Italian ancestry from one of his grandparents, and remote indigenous too, since he’s from Pernambuco where almost everyone is “Caboclo”(European+Native).
is he a descendant of Filippo Cavalcanti ?
No, he’s from an extremely poor family, I’m assuming this Filippo was a prominent figure since you know him
What’s the name of his Italian ancestor then? I assumed it was Filippo because the Cavalcanti family is probably the most notorious Italian clan in Pernambuco
It’s probably a distant ancestry through his mother’s matrilineal line, Italian ancestry is not uncommon in Pernambuco, there’s also many people with relatively recent Dutch ancestry, the state was occupied by the Dutch for a period of time
Shut up, tramp
Are you kidding? African DNA is higher than Indigenous DNA in every part of Pernambuco, especially in Recife. In Recife, most people are mulatto, while the countryside is largely triracial. Source: genetic tests.
Completely delusional. Pernambuco received more enslaved Africans than Maranhão
It is the third Brazilian state that received the largest number of enslaved Africans.
Those 43% whites in Recife are “branco de ibge”. I could send you a thousand genetic studies showing that people from Pernambuco outside Recife are generally tri-racial, while within Recife most are mixed-race (mulatto). The only Northeastern state where Indigenous ancestry exceeds African ancestry is Ceará.
And Ceará is one of the least European regions in the Northeast. Most people I’ve seen tested there barely score above 65% European ancestry.
I don’t care about IBGE “white” classifications. According to genetic tests, it is extremely rare outside the South and Southeast for people to have more than 90% European DNA.
And in Recife, the people classified as mixed-race (pardos) are generally mulatto, while in the state’s interior they are typically tri-racial. Here is a genetic study on the DNA of Recife’s population.
71% euro 20% African and 7% indigenous

Sertão de Pernambuco
73% euro 15% african 11% indigenous

Black people from Maranhão are genetically zambos, and the pardos are tri-racial. Study genetics instead of relying on self-identification.
Look up the Facebook group “DNA-Brasil genealogia com genética”. There are thousands of Brazilians sharing their genetic test results there, and Northeastern Brazilians are highly and relatively homogeneous in terms of genetic admixture regardless of their phenotype. Many of the results posted from Genera show substantial mixed European, African, and Indigenous ancestry across the region. Get yourself education, branco de ibge.
And Gil is minority in Recife/zona da mata
As you love ibge, here is the Recifes ibge
Pardos: 48,5% (722.555 pessoas)
Brancos: 38,8% (578.413 pessoas)
Pretos: 12,3% (182.546 pessoas)
Amarelos: 0,2% (2.703 pessoas)
Indígenas: 0,2% (2.656 pessoas)
Pardos from Recife are mulattoes according to dna tests. No one would spot Gil there he looks like any periférico man from zona da mata area.
Gil is not minority*
Phenotype means nothing. This man from Pernambuco is only 73% European and over 10% African, yet he looks white.

You’ll only find truly white people (90%+ European ancestry) among the upper classes in the Northeast; the majority of the population is highly mixed
Genetic studies based on ancestry test data show that the average mixed-race (pardo) person in Ceará is approximately 55.4% European, 18.4% African, and 26.1% Indigenous American.
The average pardo person in Maranhão is approximately 50.8% European, 26.3% African, and 22.9% Indigenous American.
The average pardo person in Pernambuco is approximately 60.6% European, 26.7% African, and 12.7% Indigenous American.

Believe whatever you want. According to these estimates, Pernambuco is the third least Indigenous state in the Northeast, behind only Bahia and Sergipe in Indigenous ancestry among the pardo population.
In Pernambuco’s coastal region and Zona da Mata, Indigenous ancestry is even lower. Pardos in the rest of the state tend to be more tri-racial, with a more balanced mix of European, African, and Indigenous ancestry. The idea that Pernambuco has unusually high Indigenous ancestry is not supported by these estimates, especially when compared to states such as Ceará and Maranhão, where Indigenous ancestry among pardos is substantially higher.
Recife is one of the places in Brazil that received the largest numbers of enslaved Africans—Google is free. It’s completely disconnected from reality to claim you don’t see mulattoes there, unless you’re only visiting affluent neighborhoods or something. African imput in Recife is high in every dna studies.
Average perifericos in Recife.

Mulattoes.
You definitely need to get out of your bubble. These people look like any public school students in Recife. You can even search Google Images and see for yourself.

All genetic studies show that the average Northeasterner is tri-racial, and that Indigenous ancestry is only notably higher in Ceará, yet you keep focusing on phenotypes. I literally see ambiguous phenotypes among tri-racial people most of the time; it’s very common. And Indigenous ancestry is indeed relatively low among mixed-race people in Recife, who are generally mulatto, while outside Recife, mixed-race populations tend to be tri-racial.
Do you really think this family from Paraiba looks black or something? They look average Paraibanos
