Lucy Gordon was an English actress and model. Her roles include the films Perfume, Serendipity (2001), The Four Feathers (2002), Russian Dolls, Spider-Man 3, The Last International Playboy, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, and, as actress Jane Birkin, Gainsbourg (Vie héroïque); and the show Stella. She had began her career as a model, before moving into acting, in both British and French film productions. She lived and worked partly in France and New York City, New York.

She was the daughter of Susan, a nurse, and Richard Gordon, a teacher of French at Oxford University.

Lucy’s paternal grandfather was William Anthony Gordon (the son of George Stuart Gordon and Mary Campbell Biggar). William was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, to Scottish parents. George was born in Falkirk, Stirlingshire, the son of William Gordon and Mary Napier. Lucy’s great-grandmother Mary was born in Polmont, Stirlingshire, the daughter of John Wilson Biggar and Janet Jessie McRae.

Lucy’s paternal grandmother was Mary Euphan Gordon (the daughter of Charles Frederick Gordon and Kathleen Dorothy Hirst). Mary was born in Wharfedale, Yorkshire. Charles was born in Leeds. Kathleen was born in Wharfedale, the daughter of Benjamin Hirst and Helen Graham Kelso, whose mother was from Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Lucy’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Prosser.
