Kerry Bishé is a New Zealand-American actress. Her roles include the series Scrubs, Halt and Catch Fire, Public Morals, Narcos, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber; the films The Understudy (2008), Nice Guy Johnny, Red State (2011), Newlyweds, Argo, The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, Max Rose, Goodbye World, Grand Piano, The Ticket (2016), Rupture, How It Ends, The Evening Hour, Happily, and Madame Web; and the video game Telling Lies.

Kerry was born in New Zealand, to American parents. As a child, her family moved to Glen Ridge, New Jersey, where her father taught. Kerry is married to American actor Chris Lowell, with whom she has a daughter.

Kerry’s paternal grandfather was Robert John Bishé (the son of Charles Francis Bishé and Elizabeth Marie “Bessie” McKeon). Robert was born in Orange, New Jersey. Charles was born in Bigelow, St. Lawrence, New York, the son of Francis “Frank” Bishé/Biche/Bichet, whose parents were French emigrants, from Haute-Saône, Franche-Comté; and of Katharine Mahoney, who was an Irish emigrant, from Kinsale, County Cork. Kerry’s great-grandmother Elizabeth was born in Essex, New Jersey, the daughter of John T. McKeon and Alice Loretta Conaughty, who were both the children of Irish parents.

Kerry’s paternal grandmother was Grace C. Meyer (the daughter of William Benedict Meyer and Lillian Maria Mueller). Grace was born in Irvington Township, New Jersey. William was born in Newark, Essex, New Jersey, the son of Michael Charles Meyer and Louisa Catherine Dill, who were both the children of German parents. Kerry’s great-grandmother Lillian was born in New Jersey, the daughter of Jacob Mueller and Clara Annam Bender, who were also the children of German parents.

Kerry’s maternal grandfather was Raymond George Buggle (the son of Paul Andrew Buggle and Anna Fresch). Raymond was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Swiss parents. Paul was the son of Andreas Buggle and Lena K. Helbling.

Kerry’s maternal grandmother is June L. Lane (the daughter of George Perrott Lane and Caroline Susan Kutzner). June was born in New Jersey. George was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of Henry Lane, an English immigrant, and of Mary Louise Walls, who was herself the daughter of a Scottish father and an English mother. Kerry’s great-grandmother Caroline was born in Middletown, Mattabeset, Connecticut, the daughter of ethnic German emigrants from the Russian Empire, John Karl “Charles” Kutzner, from what is now Poland, and Anna Florentine Wildemann, from Kovel, now Ukraine.
