Ken Berry was an American actor, comedian, dancer, and singer. He starred on the shows Dr. Kildare, F Troop, Mayberry R.F.D., The Carol Burnett Show, The Ken Berry WOW Show, and Mama’s Family.

He was the son of Bernice and Eugene Darrell Berry, an accountant. Ken had three children with his former wife, actress and writer Jackie Joseph. Among his children was John, who co-founded Indie rock band Idaho.

Ken’s patrilineal line can be traced to Thomas Berry, who was born, c. 1624, in Ceres, Fife, Scotland, to Andrew Berry and Elizabeth “Bessie” Russell.

Ken’s paternal grandfather was Feodor Guest “Odie” Berry (the son of Franklin Pierce Berry and Sophia Maria/Marie Sellars). Feodor was born in Henderson, Kentucky. Franklin was born in Union, Kentucky, the son of Ira James Berry and Nancy Margaret Wynn. Ken’s great-grandmother Sophia was born in Webster, Kentucky, the daughter of Orman Sellers, Jr., whose maternal grandfather was from County Cork, Ireland; and of Louisa W. Ashby.

Ken’s paternal grandmother was Verda Lillian Hall (the daughter of William Franklin/Frank Hall and Queen Tiny Nance). Verda was born in Kentucky. William was born in Kentucky, the son of Eli Lafayette Hall and Marguerite Bentle Wagner. Queen was born in Slaughters, Webster, Kentucky, the daughter of George Washington Nance and Mary Elizabeth Timmons, whose maternal grandparents were from Antrim, Ireland, and Scotland, respectively.

Ken’s maternal grandfather was George Edmund Larson (the son of Olof Larsson/Larson and Anna Sofia/Sophia Svensdotter/Swanson). George was born in Woodhull, Henry, Illinois, to Swedish parents. Olof was born in Vardnas, Linköpings kommun, Östergötlands län, the son of Lars Samuelsson and Maria Olofsdotter. Ken’s great-grandmother Anna was born in Horn, Kinda kommun, Östergötlands län, the daughter of Sven Persson and Inga Catharina Jonsdotter.

Ken’s maternal grandmother was Ida Matilda Munson (the daughter of Peter/Petr A. Munson and Anna Andersson/Anderson). Ida was born in Moline, Rock Island, Illinois, to Swedish parents.
