Jonathan Pedneault is a Canadian politician, journalist, documentarian, and activist. He was Co-leader of the Green Party, from February 4, 2025 to April 30, 2025, with Elizabeth May. He has also been Deputy leader of the Green Party, from November 19, 2022 to July 9, 2024. He is the first openly gay federal party leader to lead a party to an election, and the first to have Hispanic ancestry.

His father is Cuban-American. His mother is French-Canadian, from Lac Saint-Jean. He was raised by his single mother in Greenfield Park, by the south shore, in Montréal. His family were practising Catholics. At fifteen, Jonathan co-founded student organization Soprégé/Société de Prévention du Génocide.
