She is known for her roles on the series Girlfriends, Gillian in Georgia, Sleepy Hollow, Ash vs Evil Dead, Monogamy, Delilah, and The Chi, and in the films The Perfect Holiday, Major Movie Star, The Longshots, Drool, Meeting Spencer, 35 and Ticking, Hear No Evil (2014), Boo! (2018), and Charming the Hearts of Men.

Jill’s maternal grandfather was Timothy Williams (the son of Moses Williams and Reba Stanley). Timothy was born in Oklahoma.
