Jerry Stiller was an American comedian, actor, and author. Jerry was married to actress and comedian Anne Meara, until her death. The couple were part of a comedic act together, Stiller and Meara.

Jerry was the son of Bella/Bluma Zelda (Cytrynbaum/Citrin/Citron) and William “Willie” Stiller, a bus driver. His father was born in New York, to Jewish emigrants, from Chijika, in Galicia. His mother was a Jewish emigrant, from Powiat biłgorajski, Lubelskie, Poland.

Jerry and Anne had two children, actors and comedians Amy Stiller and Ben Stiller. Anne converted to Judaism, around 1961.

Jerry’s paternal grandfather was named Samuel “Sam” Stiller. Samuel was born in Khodoriv, Zhydachivs’kyi district, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine.

Jerry’s paternal grandmother was Anna/Annie Intel/Tietel/Teitel/Tieler/Title (the daughter of Abraham Teitel/Title and Ray Schiffman).

Jerry’s maternal grandfather was named Yussef/Yosif/Yosef/Joseph Itshak/Yitzchak Cytrynbaum/Citron.
