Jennie is a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, and actress. She is a member of South Korean girl group Blackpink. The other members of the group are Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé. She has starred on the series The Idol, and appeared on variety shows Village Survival, the Eight; Jennie: Solo Diary, Apartment 404, and My Name is Gabriel. She is also known as Jennie Ruby Jane, and has been nicknamed the “Human Chanel.”

Born and raised in South Korea, Jennie spent several years studying in New Zealand as a teenager, before returning to South Korea in 2010.
