Jason Patric is an American actor. His films include Solarbabies, The Lost Boys, Rush (1991), Geronimo: An American Legend, Sleepers, Speed 2: Cruise Control, Your Friends & Neighbors, Narc, The Alamo (2004), and The Losers.

He is the son of Jason Miller (born John Anthony Miller), an actor and playwright, and Linda Miller (born Linda Mae Gleason), an actress. His half-brother is actor Joshua John Miller. Jason’s maternal grandfather was actor and comedian Jackie Gleason. Jason’s father was of Irish and one quarter German descent. Jason’s mother has Irish, smaller amounts of German, Scottish, English, and Dutch, and remote Norwegian and French Huguenot, ancestry.

Jason has a son with his former partner Danielle Schreiber.

Jason’s paternal grandfather was John Anthony Miller (the son of Edward Frederick Miller and Bridget Mary Delaney). John was born in Providence, Rhode Island. Edward was born in Illinois, the son of German parents, Martin Miller and Eva Sommers. Jason’s great-grandmother Bridget was an Irish immigrant, the daughter of Patrick Joseph Delaney and Mary Alice.

Jason’s paternal grandmother was Mary Claire Collins (the daughter of Thomas Collins and Anna Munley/Munnelly). Mary was born in Pennsylvania, to Irish parents. Anna was the daughter of Patrick Munnelly, who was from County Mayo; and of Catherine Dymond, who was from Calliaghadoo.

Jason’s maternal grandfather was Jackie Gleason (born Herbert Walton Gleason, Jr., later baptized John Herbert Gleason, the son of Herbert Walton Gleason and Mae Agnes “Maisie” Kelly). Jackie was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. Jason’s great-grandfather Herbert was born in New York City, the son of William Walton Gleason, who was born in Ireland or in New York; and of Sarah Jane Fowler, who had English, Dutch, and remote Norwegian and French Huguenot, ancestry. Jason’s great-grandmother Mae was born in Farran, County Cork, Ireland, the daughter of James Hope Kelly, who was born in Belfast, County Down; and of Margaret Victoria Walcott, who was from England, and who was also of at least part Irish heritage.

Jason’s maternal grandmother was Genevieve Halford (the daughter of Joseph H. Halford and Mary Agnes “Mamie” McCafferey/McCaffrey). Genevieve was born in New York. Joseph was born in New York, the son of August Halford, who was German; and of Arabella/Arabla/Isabella Crowe, whose parents were from Scotland, or from Scotland and Ireland, respectively. Jason’s great-grandmother Mary was the daughter of Thomas McCafferey/McCaffery/McCaffrey and Mary Walsh, who were of Irish descent.
