James Morosini is an American actor and filmmaker. He is known for his film I Love My Dad, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, about himself and his father. He has also appeared on the shows Single Minded, American Horror Story, Loosely Exactly Nicole, Foursome, and The Sex Lives of College Girls; and starred in the films It’s What’s Inside and Terrestrial.

James is the son of Deborah Morosini and Claudio Lichtenthal, a ski instructor. His father is an Argentinian Jewish immigrant. He uses his mother’s maiden name. His aunt and uncle, mother’s sister and her husband, respectively, were actors and disability activists Dana Reeve (born Morosini) and Christopher Reeve.

James’ paternal grandfather was Sigfriedo/Sigfrido Lichtenthal (the son of Meschulim/Máximo/Max Lichtenthal and Adela/Adele Brecher). Sigfriedo was a German Jew, who was born in Berlin. He left Germany in the late 1930s, to escape the Nazis. Meschulim was born in Vienna, Austria. Adele was born in Berlin.

James’ paternal grandmother was Roma Elpern (the daughter of Abraham Elpern and Regina Muszkatblit). Roma was a Polish Jewish survivor of the Holocaust, whose parents were killed by the Nazis, in Auschwitz. She moved to the U.S. in 1946.

James’ maternal grandfather was Dr. Charles Joseph “Chuck” Morosini, Jr. (the daughter of Dr. Charles Joseph Morosini, Sr. and Pearl/Pelagia Pauline Zagorski/Zagorskis/Zygorsky). James’ grandfather Charles was born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. James’ great-grandfather Charles was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Costantino/Constantine “Constant/Constantine”/Costante Morosini and Marietta V. Boncompagni/Boncompagna, who were from Dorno, Pavia, Lombardy, Italy. William was born in Fermanagh, the son of John Simpson and Sarah McManus. James’ great-grandmother Mary was the daughter of John Donnelly and Ellen Gormley.
