He’s likely has a small amount of French ancestry from his maternal great grandmother, who’s last name was Leisure. According to his Wikitree genealogy, Leisure can be traced back to French Huguenots.

An addition from David Dalton’s book “James Dean: The Mutant King”:
“Winton and Mildred Dean were both native Indianans–Mildred (nee Wilson) from a Methodist family that Jimmy said was part Indian, and Winton a Quaker from a line of original settlers that could be traced back to the Mayflower.”

wait? Native american indian or indian (india)
Pretty much every white Americans claims to be part native American, when they’re not.
not only whites, blacks too… us-americans do have a identity problem in general…
I have Native American. DNA proof, but it would be hard for anyone in the Americans not to have some native. It’s only office sex always comes into play no matter what.
Almost every white American has family lore about native American ancestry. The only non white ancestry i could see him having would be an extremely remote MENA ancestry through his french roots, but even that would be extremely unlikely. That man was as white as it gets.
