Iréne Ekelund is a Swedish track and field sprint athlete. She competes internationally for Sweden. She won the gold medal at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk, in 2013, finishing first in the 200 metres final. She holds the Swedish indoor record in 200 metres.

Iréne was born to a Swedish father and an Angolan mother. Her father was with the U.N. in Pakistan during her birth. She was raised mostly in Karlstad, Sweden.
