Gary Coleman was an American actor, comedian, and politician. He starred as Arnold Jackson on the show Diff’rent Strokes, as well as on Hello, Larry; The Facts of Life, Silver Spoons, Amazing Stories, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. His roles also included the films On the Right Track, The Kid with the Broken Halo, Jimmy the Kid, S.F.W.; Dirty Work, Frank McKlusky, C.I.; Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, Church Ball, and An American Carol; the made-for-tv movies The Kid from Left Field, Scout’s Honor, The Kid with the 200 I.Q., Playing with Fire (1985), Like Father, Like Santa; and A Carol Christmas (2003); the shows Good Times, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Gary Coleman Show, Married… with Children, Sherman Oaks, Waynehead, The Simpsons, Son of the Beach, My Wife and Kids, BattleBots, and Nitro Circus; the video games The Curse of Monkey Island, Postal, and Postal 2: Paradise Lost; and the music videos for “Bad, Bad Man;” “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays;” “Cowboy,” “We Are All Made of Stars,” “Anywhere But Here,” and “Climax.” He was 4′8″.

Gary was the son of Edmonia Sue, a nurse practitioner, and W. G. Coleman, a fork-lift operator. They were his adoptive parents. Gary was married to Shannon Price, until his death.

Gary had focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a congenital kidney disease. He died from epidural hematoma.
