Franco Harris was an American professional football player. A fullback, he spent most of his professional career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as the Seattle Seahawks, of the National Football League (NFL). He was voted Super Bowl MVP for Super Bowl IX (1975). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.

Franco was the son of Gina and Cadillac/Cad Harris. His father was from Bolton, Mississippi. His mother was born in Pietrasanta, Province of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. His parents met when his father was a soldier stationed in Italy during WWII. His brother was football player Pete Harris. Franco was married to Dana Dokmanovich, with whom he had a son.

Franco’s paternal grandfather was Albert Harris (the son of Cad Harris and Jane Kelsky).

Franco’s paternal grandmother was named Mary Jane Smith/McDonald.

Franco’s maternal grandfather was named Nello Parenti.

Franco’s maternal grandmother was named Virginia.
