Emma’s maternal grandfather is likely Alan “Al” L. Pinetree, and her maternal grandmother is possibly Janet Dawn Dealy (I’m less certain about her). Curious surname “Pinetree”, it is very uncommun; I’ve found some native americans with that surname in family trees. Or maybe it is some kind of anglicisation of a surname, I don’t know… I also think that Alan Pinetree wasn’t born in the U.S., since he does not appear in the 1950 census. Perhaps Emma’s maternal grandparets are immigrants (from Ireland???), I don’t know if the Irish ancestry she referred to was paternal or maternal.
