Dion Cools is a Malaysian professional footballer. A full-back and centre-back, he plays for Cerezo Osaka, and plays for and captains the Malaysia national team. He was previously with OH Leuven, Club Brugge, Midtjylland, Zulte Waregem, Jablonec, and Buriram United, and the Belgium national team.

His father, Hans Cools, is Belgian. His mother, Xylina Chai, is Malaysian, of Chinese background, from Kuching, Sarawak. He was named after professional footballers Johan Cruyff and Dion Dublin. Dion is married to Melissa Schelfhout, with whom he has two children.
