Devon Bostick is a Canadian actor. He starred as Rodrick Heffley in the trilogy Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010), Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. Devon is the son of actor and film fight co-ordinator Joe Bostick and casting director Stephanie Gorin. His brother is actor Jesse Bostick, who is pictured here.

Devon’s father is from the U.S., and has English, German, one quarter Norwegian, as well as Scottish, and smaller amounts (to varying degrees) of Welsh, Irish, French, and Dutch, ancestry.

Devon’s maternal grandparents are English immigrants to Canada. Devon’s mother’s patrilineal line can be traced to William Gorin, who was born, c. 1744, in Gloucestershire, England.

Devon’s patrilineal line can be traced to Charles Bostick III, who was born, c. 1643, in Cheshire, England, the son of Charles Bostick, Jr. and Jane Gray.

Devon’s paternal grandfather was Thomas Edward Bostick (the son of Samuel Louis Bostick and Ruth Elizabeth Shoultes). Thomas was born in Washington. Samuel was born in Hood, Texas, the son of Jefferson Ewell Bostick and Charlotte Elnora Camp. Devon’s great-grandmother Ruth was born in Marysville, Snohomish, Washington, the daughter of Seymour Shoultes and Elizabeth Agnes Baird, whose parents were Scottish.

Devon’s paternal grandmother was Betty Alvina Triebel (the daughter of Walter Carl Frederick Triebel and Clara Elize Lynne). Betty was born in North Dakota. Walter was born in Minnesota, to German parents, August Triebel and Ida Lumpe. Devon’s great-grandmother Clara was born in North Dakota, to Norwegian parents, Edward Berntsen Lynne and Polla Mathiasdatter Jacobson.

Devon’s maternal grandfather is Kenneth “Ken” Gorin (the son of Frederick George Gorin and Eva May Overton). Kenneth was born in Wandsworth, London, England, to a father from London and a mother from Lincolnshire. Frederick was the son of Rupert George Gorin and Emma Sophia Willis.

Devon’s maternal grandmother is Hazel I. Ayres (the daughter of Charles Ayres and Ivy Scott). Hazel was born in Willesden, Middlesex, England.
