Devin is the son of actress Ann Louise Willis and Peter Alexander Ratray/Rattray. His father was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. His mother was born in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Devin’s paternal grandfather was David Eugene Rattray (the son of David Alexander Mcintosh/Macintosh Rattray and Bessie Christina/Christena Fickes). Devin’s grandfather David was born in McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Devin’s great-grandfather David was born in Brechin, Angus, Scotland, the son of James L. Rattray and Elizabeth Macintosh. Devin’s great-grandmother Bessie was born in West Virginia, the daughter of William Jennings Fickes and Christina McCleash, whose father was evidently German.

Devin’s paternal grandmother was Edith Margaret Brown (the daughter of Dr. William Arthur Brown and Alice Margaret/Margarite Bogart/Boyart). William was the son of Miles Brown, M.D. and Mary Jemima Casselman. Devin’s great-grandmother Alice was the daughter of Peter Bogart/Boyart and Jane Edgerton, whose father was born in County Fermanagh, Ireland.

Devin’s maternal grandfather was named George C. Willis. George was a ommercial artist.

Alice was the daughter of Peter Bogart and Jane Edgerton, Jane’s father James Edgerton was born in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Alice’s original surname was Bogaert, and she had distant Dutch ancestry.
