Delonte West is an American professional basketball player. A point guard and shooting guard, he played for Saint Joseph’s in college; and for the Boston Celtics, the Seattle SuperSonics, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Texas Legends of the National Basketball Association (NBA), and Fujian Xunxing and Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He is 6′3″.
He is said to have African-American, Piscataway Native American, and European ancestry. Reports are that his mother is dark-skinned while his father is light-skinned. He is described as the lightest in his family, with his brothers being of darker complexion.
Delonte has two children with his former wife Caressa Madden.
Correction, he has supposed Piscataway indigenous ancestry. The issue is that essentially no person supposedly of Piscataway descent has any discernable genealogical connection to known Piscataway ancestors. pretty much every remaining member migrated north/west to join other natives like the Haudenosaunee whilst modern Piscataway identified groups appear to simply be colonial non-indigenous biracials that picked the tribe to identify with following the civil war, which saw greatly increased racial tensions which threatened their black/white communities. they also show no discernable genetic connection to historical native populations of Maryland/the surrounding states, beyond that of what you might see in your typical colonial white or black American.
