David Miscavige is the leader of the Church of Scientology, and Captain of its Sea Organization. He is titled chairman of the board of the Religious Technology Center (COB RTC), which controls the trademarks and copyrights of Dianetics and Scientology. David became leader of the church in 1987, following the death of founder L. Ron Hubbard. He is also known within Scientology as “DM,” “COB,” and “captain of the Sea Org.”
David is the son of Loretta and Ronald Thomas “Ron” Miscavige, a trumpet player. He was raised mostly in Willingboro Township, New Jersey. The family was originally Roman Catholic, and converted to Scientology c. 1969. David is married to Shelly Miscavige (born Michele Diane Barnett). His niece is Scientology critic Jenna Miscavige Hill.
David’s paternal grandfather was Anthony Victor Myszkiewicz/Miscavige (the son of Stanley/Stanisław Miscavige/Myszkiewicz and Mary/Maria Glowacki/Gtowacki). Anthony was born in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, to Polish parents. Stanley was born in Andrzejewo, Wielkopolskie, the son of Jakub Myszkiewicz, who was born in Leszczewo, Podlaskie, and of Marianna Czerniecka, who was born in Wołownia, Podlaskie. David’s great-grandmother Mary was born in Krasne, Mazowieckie, the daughter of Tomasz Glowacki/Gtowacki, who was born in Krasne, and of Magdalena Namiotkówna, who was born in Daniłowice, Podlaskie.
David’s paternal grandmother was Helen/Helena Suchwalko/Sufalko (the daughter of Stanley/Stanisław Suchwalko and Johanna Bondzio). Helen was born in Pennsylvania, to Polish parents.
David’s maternal grandfather was Ralph Gidaro (the son of Anthony/Antonio Pasquale Gidaro and Maria Theresa Stillo). Ralph was born in Pennsylvania, to Italian parents, from Isca sullo Ionio, Catanzaro, Calabria. Anthony was the son of Ferdinando/Fernardino Gidaro and Raffella Stillo. Maria was the daughter of Giuseppe Pasquale Stillo and Anna Maria Calabretta.
David’s maternal grandmother was Dorothy Ruth Krall (the daughter of William John Krall and Lydia Minnick). Dorothy was born in Ashland, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania. William was born in Locust Gap, the son of German parents, John/Johann Krall and Susanna Margaret/Margaretha Gräber, who was born in Spiesen, Saarland. Lydia was born in Kingston, the daughter of ethnic German parents, Jacob Minnick and Therese/Thresa Adeline/E. Marie Krouse/Krauß, who herself was born in Daber, Pomorze, Poland.

I cannot confirm or deny anything at this time, although Marianna Czerniecka may have been of at least some Jewish background. Her father was Wojciech (c. 1796-1846), and her mother was Agnieszka Santorówna. They ended up in Wieś Nowa, where he died in 1846 at age 50. If she was a relative of Jan and Krystyna Surozenska Czerniecki (both hidden Jews in cities in the same region as Wieś Nowa), I sincerely apologize for what my family inflicted upon both our people and upon the world in David Miscavige. I also, especially if we are related, commend that Ron Miscavige left Scientology and did teshuvah for ever having been an accomplice of L. Ron Hubbard. When I become aware that family and potential family sinned, I do not want anyone to feel that I would tolerate my family’s sins lest I become complicit in them.
