He is married to actress Mercedes Mason, with whom he has two children.

David’s paternal grandfather was Harold Stewart Lamb (the son of Harry Warner Lamb and Carrie Ann Watkins). Harold was born in Dickinson, Kansas, and had deep roots in the U.S. Harry was the son of Green Roy Lamb and Julia Eleanor Beaver. Carrie was the daughter of Francis Marion Watkins and Mary Ann Stewart.

David’s paternal grandmother was Edna Willys Miller (the daughter of Louis Hunt Miller and Lillian May Bidwell). Edna was born in Landis Township, New Jersey, and had partly deep American roots. Louis was the son of LTC Edwin Harrison Miller and Elizabeth Innes Fisher, whose own parents were Scottish. Lillian was the daughter of Osborn Bidwell and Caroline Willys/Wyllys.

David’s maternal grandfather was Charles Denman (the son of Samuel Zenas Denman and Jerusha Ann Koontz). Charles was born in Los Angeles, California, and had partly deep roots in the U.S. Samuel was the son of Zenas Hathawasy Denman and Francis Ann Pierce, whose father was English. Jerusha was the daughter of Martin Koontz and Mary Ann Kitterman.

David’s maternal grandmother was Violet Mary Single (the daughter of Alfred Single Jr. and Mary Ellen “Ella” Roach). Violet was born in Pueblo, Colorado. Alfred was the son of English parents, Alfred Single and Henrietta White, who was from Kent. Mary was the daughter of Irish immigrants, Michael Roach and Mary Harney.

            While I’m not a professional at genealogy, I was able to look at a few people’s genealogies and come to some conclusions.

            Frank Oz’s father is only an eighth Polish Jewish, from where he derived his surname. The other 7/8ths is Dutch Jewish and has been for centuries per Geni.com. I feel like that could be added to his page.

            Additionally, the identity of Sofia Black D’Elia’s maternal grandmother Anita is interesting, because her last name was not found through available genealogical records. We do know D’Elia at least 1/2 Italian/Sicilian and 1/4 Russian Jewish, though her maternal grandmother’s identity is murky. Presumably she was Jewish, but that is not stated on the page. Further research would be fascinating.
