Dave Rowntree is an English musician, politician, solicitor, composer, and animator. He is the drummer for rock band Blur, whose other members are Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, and Alex James. He was previously with indie rock band The Ailerons. He was also a councillor on Norfolk County Council, representing the Labour Party, from 2017 to 2021.

Dave is the son of Susan (Hugh-Jones), a viola player, and John D. Rowntree, a BBC sound engineer. His mother’s surname might indicate Welsh ancestry.
