Daniel Cerny is an American actor, film editor, producer, singer, and musician. He is known for starring as Eli in the film Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest. His roles also include the films Demonic Toys, Fearless, and The Prince & Me 2: The Royal Wedding.

His parents, Helena and Pavel, are Czech Jewish immigrants to the U.S. They were dissidents in Prague, who moved to California, c. the early 1970s. His grandparents all survived the Holocaust. Daniel’s brother, Andrei Cherny, is a lawyer, author, businessperson, and politician, who was Chair of the Arizona Democratic Party, from January 22, 2011 to January 30, 2012.

Daniel’s maternal grandfather was named Armin/Arman Weltmann/Weltman. Armin was born in Veľký Kazimír, Trebišov, Košický kraj, Slovakia.

Daniel’s maternal grandmother was named Illse/Ilse.
