Dana Reeve was an American actress, singer, and activist, for disability causes.
She was the daughter of Helen Catherine (Simpson) and Dr. Charles Joseph “Chuck” Morosini, Jr. Her father was born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Her mother was born in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. She was married to actor Christopher Reeve, until his death. Dana and her husband co-founded the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, seeking treatments for paralysis and better health coverage for people with disabilities. The couple had a son. Dana’s nephew, sister’s son, is actor James Morosini.
Dana’s paternal grandfather was Dr. Charles Joseph Morosini, Sr. (the son of Costantino/Constantine “Constant/Constantine”/Costante Morosini and Marietta V. Boncompagni/Boncompagna). Charles was born in Pennsylvania, to parents from Dorno, Pavia, Lombardy, Italy. Costantino was the son of Giuseppe Morosini and Maria Teresa Faravelli. Dana’s great-grandmother Marietta was the daughter of Charles/Carlo/Charlie Bonn/Boncompagni/Boncompagni and Rose/Rosa Cecchi.
