Cybill is the daughter of Patty Cornelia and William Jennings “Bill” Shepherd, Jr., a salesman, who ran Bill Shepherd Enterprises, Inc. She has a daughter, actress Clementine Ford, with her former husband, nightclub entertainer David M. Ford; and two children with her former husband, chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim.
Cybill’s paternal grandfather was William Jennings Shepherd (the son of Peter Jennings Shepherd and Allie Torrence).
Cybill’s paternal grandmother was Esther Stimpson (the daughter of Thomas Hampton “Hamp” Stimpson and Martha Anne “Annie” Davis Stimpson).
