Not only does “Guyanese” not imply “Afro Guyanese,” but it’s completely possible that his father is nearly fully ethnic Chinese from the looks of it.
He looks mixed to me. Chinese and Indian seems more likely but African or Indigenous is certainly possible.
Yeah, the father does look mixed race; I wish we had a clearer picture. But I’m not seeing 50/50. I guess it’s a possibility, but I’d think more intergenerational mixing.
Whatever it is, if Central Cee has any African ancestry, I feel like it’s clearly less than a quarter of his ancestry, and likely much less than that.
He said his father was “Guyanese and Chinese,” but he did not actually state that Guyanese meant Black or African-Guyanese. That could mean Black, but it could also refer to Indian, Indigenous, or a mixture.
