Cathryn Harrison was an English actress, and voice performer. Her roles included the films Images, The Pied Piper (1972), Black Moon (1975), Blue Fire Lady, The Dresser (1983), Duet for One, Empire State (1987), Eat the Rich, A Handful of Dust, and Déjà Vu (1997); the series Return of the Saint, Hannay, Bergerac, Soldier Soldier, Clarissa, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Desmond’s, Wycliffe, McCallum, The Bill, and Shades; the mini-series Wuthering Heights (1978), The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (1982), Portrait of a Marriage (1990), Love on a Branch Line, and Heat of the Sun; and the made-for-tv movies A Christmas Carol (1984), Robin of Sherwood, and The Happy Valley (1986).

She was the daughter of Sara Lee Eberts and actor and singer Noel Harrison, and the granddaughter of actor Rex Harrison. Her half-uncle was novelist and dramatist Carey Harrison. Cathryn was married to Paul Laing, until her death.

Cathryn’s paternal grandfather was Sir Reginald Carey “Rex” Harrison (the son of William Reginald Harrison and Edith Mary Carey). Rex was born in Prescot, Lancashire. William was a cotton broker. He was born in Childwall, Liverpool, Merseyside, the son of Thomas Harrison and Sarah Dulley. Cathryn’s great-grandmother Edith was born in Prescot, the daughter of Eustace Carey and Mary Jane Picard.

Cathryn’s paternal grandmother was Ethel Marjorie Noel Collette Thomas (the daughter of John Cyril Collette Thomas and Jessie Maud Scott-Brown). Ethel was born in Upton-upon-Severn, Malvern Hills District, Worcestershire, and was a teacher of French. John was born in Islington, London. Jessie was born in Penrith, Cumbria.
