Bernard White is a Sri Lankan-American actor, screenwriter, and film director. His roles include the series Days of Our Lives, The New Dragnet, 24, Silicon Valley, Kidding, Big Sky, Beef, and Ghosts; and the films The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Land of Plenty, American Dreamz, The World Unseen, Quarantine (2008), It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Vino Veritas, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Chee and T, Rebel in the Rye, Evil Eye (2020), and Shook.

He was raised in Detroit, Michigan. He is married to actress Jackie Katzman.

Bernard’s paternal grandfather was John Bernard White (the son of Leonard Charles/Charles Leonard White and Bandara Menike). Leonard was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Bernard’s paternal grandmother was named Mary Cecilia Hawke. She is said to have had Sri Lankan Tamil ancestry.
