5’9″ is generous. Shoes off, she would’ve been 5’8″.

  2. passingtime85 says:

    Correction.

    Her height was not 5’9½”.

I looked at both of her marine IDs. One she is 5’9½”, but her earlier one, is probably more accurate, which places her at 5’8½” or maybe 5’8¾”.

Heels most likely made the difference.

Well this website was established in the US, and there’s over 300 million people in this country, capable of understanding and using the the imperial system here, in the form of the 87% of the populace, over age 10.

Also, the UK still uses the imperial system to describe human height, and Australia, and Canada. So we’re looking at over 400 million people in the world, capable of understanding imperial measurements. That’s about 5% of the global population. The percentage of the world that speaks English, as their first/primary language, is about 5%.

Measurements for personal height, being listed in the imperial system, is totally congruent with the traffic of this website. Plus, it doesn’t take much time or effort, to put the measurement into a conversion calculator.

No, the admin of this website is Australian. Pretty sure lot of traffic do not come out of the countries you mentioned, think about the mighty Jonas Bettencourt, Madman or Bablah

US/Australian. Both countries still use the imperial system.

55%, almost 56%, of all traffic comes from the US, followed by over 8% from the UK. Metric measurements aren’t really necessary.

          • andrew says:

Metric system is used in over 190 countries.

          • passingtime85 says:

Countries with people, that mostly don’t visit the website.

I’m surprised that it took so long to include Bea Arthur on this site. Same with Jim Henson.
