Ann Smyrner was a Danish actress. She was a major star in European cinema during the 1950s and 1960s. She was known for portraying Die Bild-Lilli in the film Lilli – ein Mädchen aus der Großstadt (1958). Her other roles included cult science fiction films Reptilicus, Journey to the Seventh Planet, and The Black Cobra, as well as the popular German Edgar Wallace crime film series.
She was the daughter of Gerd Henriette Poulsen, a concert singer, and Poul Smyrner (Paul Eduard Vilhelm Smyrner), a well-known stage and film actor, as well as theatre director. Her father was a prominent figure in Danish arts, and appeared in several classic Danish productions during the first half of the 20th century.
