Amber Heard is an American actress and model. Her roles include Friday Night Lights, Alpha Dog, Never Back Down, Zombieland, The Stepfather, Drive Angry, The Ward, Paranoia, Machete Kills, 3 Days to Kill, Magic Mike XXL, and Aquaman.

Amber is the daughter of Patricia and David Heard. Much of Amber’s family has lived in the U.S. for many generations. Amber has a daughter. She legally changed her name to Amber van Ree for a time, during her relationship with photographer Tasya van Ree; and was also known as Amber Laura Depp, during her marriage to actor and musician Johnny Depp.

Amber’s patrilineal line traces to Stephen Heard, who was born, c. 1715, in Ulster, Tyrone, Ireland.

Amber’s paternal grandfather was Harlin Clinton Heard (the son of John Turner Heard and Luller/Lula Bell/Belle Dobbs). Harlin was born in Savanna, Pittsburg, Oklahoma. John was born in Valley Springs, Boone, Arkansas, the son of William Paxton Heard and Nancy Isabelle/Isabell Copeland. Amber’s great-grandmother Luller was born in Prairie Township, Marion, Arkansas, the daughter of William Moore Dobbs and Elizabeth Casteel/Carnahan.

Amber’s paternal grandmother was Wanda Edelweiss Mcgee/Magee (the daughter of William Issac Magee and Edna Ethel Roach). Wanda was born in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana. William was born in Decatur County, Indiana, the son of James Madison Magee and Amanda Storey. Amber’s great-grandmother Edna was born in Indiana, the daughter of David Chandler Roach and Mary Frances/Francis Cullison/Colson, whose maternal grandparents were German.

Amber’s maternal grandfather was William Joseph Parsons (the son of Edward Breck Parsons and Rose Neerlich). William was born in Queens, New York City, New York.
